
George Crum(1822 – 1914)was an African/Native-American inventor who by mistake invented potato chips. He was the head chef of Moon's Lake House, a resort in Saratoga Springs, New York. When he made fries, a customer said it was "too thick and soggy", and also "not salty enough". Frustrated by the customer's comment, he decided to push it and sliced the potatoes way too thinly. The new version received accolades, and pretty soon, everyone were asking
